An excellent central location, with the second busiest train station in London, Victoria is often considered a passing area for many commuters.  Victoria Train Station, made famous by its appearance in Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, and the departure place of the ‘London-Paris-Vienna’ Orient Express, services over 70 million passengers every year.  With Victoria Coach Station, London’s only bus station offering trips in and out of the city, the area also attracts many backpackers and tourists.

Royal enthusiasts can find Victoria to be an ideal location.  Named after Queen Victoria, who reigned in Britain from 1819 – 1901, the area is close to Buckingham Palace, where visitors can experience the ceremonial Changing of the Guard.

Victoria is also located less than a mile away from London’s most iconic attractions, with Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben just a ten minute walk away.  The lesser known ‘Little Ben’ is situated outside of Victoria Train Station.
