Beautiful Embassy Buildings in Kensington

By Anton Constantinou

Where are London’s foreign embassies, and what do they look like? Chances are you’ve probably walked past quite a few already without even noticing. The vast majority are grand, old buildings which find a home in one of three areas: Kensington, Knightsbridge or Belgravia. During a recent trip to Kensington, we discovered an impressive number of embassy buildings tucked away close to the main high street and en-route to famous attractions like The Natural History Museum.

It isn’t the flags that draw your attention so much as the striking façades and accompanying plaques. Another giveaway is diplomat-only parking.

We visited a total of 11 embassy buildings in Kensington, and were blessed with fantastic weather on the day in question.
