The Harrington Residences
Our first impression was tainted by the renovations going on in reception, and a very disinterested bored looking receptionist, the floor we were on smelt bad and the runners along the edge of the carpet had been taken up so we could see floorboard.
Upon entering our apartment, we found a bed 'seriously debating whether it was actually a king size bed' pushed up against a wall, a wardrobe with a smashed mirror, a set of drawers with what looked like burn marks on it, a living room sofa that once would have been white but quite clearly hadn't been cleaned ever and the smallest kitchen I've ever seen. The bed creaked really badly and the mattress sank in the middle. All the skirting boards were marked, the air con didn't work and then in the evening when trying to get to sleep, the lights in the corridor were humming so loudly, I had to get the concierge out to get him to turn them off because they were keeping us awake.
The Harrington Residences
Lovely weekend spent at The Harrington Gardens. The apartment was very spacious clean and bright. The apartments could be seen from Glocester Rd Tube Station making it easy to access with luggage. There appears to be some refurbishment and painting going on in the Foyer area but check-in was quickly completed. The lift is tiny but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms. The kitchen was modern and equipped with the basic essentials. A small grab rail beside the bath would be advantageous. The Harrington Apartments are close by shops pubs and several good restaurants making it a good base for a London City break.
