Close by is the historic royal palace, the Tower of London, one of the world’s only intact medieval buildings and where you can see the Crown Jewels. Walk further along the riverside and you’ll see another of London’s iconic sights, Tower Bridge, there’s also the chance to look at London from 42 feet up on the Bridge’s walkways. The Thames Clipper river bus is one of the best ways to get around London for commuters and tourists alike, you can board from the Tower Millennium Pier near the apartment and take in the views of Big Ben, Westminster, the London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral from the river. The City of London is not far from the apartment and you can see close up the striking architecture of the buildings such as Lloyds of London and the ‘Gherkin’. Within the City on Gracechurch Street is Leadenhall Market, one of the oldest markets in London, this ornate Victorian building was used for the scenes of Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films. Head further north from the apartment to the bustling Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane with its ‘curry mile’ and fashionable bars and clubs.

  • Only five minutes from the apartment is Tower Hill underground station on the District and Circle line, travel one stop to Liverpool Street and if you head west you can get to St James’s Park and nearby is Buckingham Palace. If you are travelling onwards then Kings Cross mainline station is on the Circle line and from here you can reach Cambridge, Leeds and Edinburgh.
