The only downside to our visit involved the damage in the flat.
I had to repair a venetian blind.
The loo paper holder had been broken as well.
Do you think these problems could be solved?

Everything went fine during our stay. Staff at the reception were helpful.

Nice appartement, good location within 10 bus-minutes from St Pancras (int. train station) good bus & tube connections to inner city.
All facilities present, but minimalistic. For a party of five too small pans & bowls; no wine glasses (just one set of xl-glasses) no extra cuttery / dishes.
Both showers had problems with hot water. Friendly maintenance staff attended immediately to our call. Unfortunately could not fix the problem adequately.
Other reported minor issues solved fast and appropriately.

What we found on arrival was:
1. A heating system that was on full blast. The radiators were missing their valve adjustment caps so we could lower the heat. We had to open the windows to regulate the heat which removed the small bit of the soundproofing that the windows afforded. The heat in the main bathroom was at sauna levels and with no windows was difficult to regulate. We eventually found the boiler and lowered one of the dials but with no instructions it was difficult to know how to set it correctly.
2. The oak floors were scuffed, worn and scratched and needed re-doing years ago.
3. The reveals of the window in the main bedroom had black mildew all over them. Presumably from a long term leak.
4. The blinds in the apartment were bent twisted and broken.
5. Some of the kitchen cabinets were closed of from use by putting a roughly applied bead of silicone all around the door. The dishwasher could not be accessed for the same reason.
6. The tiles in the bathroom had been painted as a re-decoration effort. It looked rough and unprofessional. In one of the bathrooms the paint had worn away from an area of the floor making for an unsightly mess.
7. The hand basin wall support in the main bathroom appeared to have have been re-attached/repaired by using copious amounts of roughly applied silicone sealant. The basin itself was loose on the support.
We could list as many more items again. Overall it is the only time that we have ever felt that we were thoroughly let down by the quality of accommodation that we have been given. This property is long overdue a redecoration.
