Good clean facility with modern conveniences. Bedroom could hav ebeen slightly larger to enable bathromm and cupboard doors to open fully. However staff were friendly and helpful and it was very clean and well-presented. A littl epricey but woudl probably stop again when next in London.

The appartment was ok, nice and fine. The on ly problem we had was that our reservation had been confirmed by London appartments.com but the hotel had them not and then, were not expecting us ! But they promply reorganised and we had our room quickly and everything was fine.

The apartment was nicely furnished and maintained. The only thing we would say is that the advertisement pictures are not clear as to which apartment contains which facilities. Therefore we thought we would have a stereo in the apartment but we could only play cds on the dvd player, so not as good a sound. The picture looks as though the kitchen contains an oven, yet it was a microwave, which did cook most things. But if someone had bought lots of food to cook they may have been disapointed. As the apartment is a big block it can be challanging to find your way back to your room, not sure how you can get round this. The reception staff were a little bit serious and not as friendly and smiley as I am used to, I appreciate they are busy most of the time. Saying that they know what they are doing so were efficient in that respect. The lifts were a bit slow, they were nice a quite, this did mean you were never sure if they were working or not.

We are an older couple who came with our 12 year old nephew for a vacation in London. We asked for a triple with 3 twins. The first night we stayed in a very nice triple room that was so tiny we couldn't move around very well. The next morning, we spoke to the manager Francesca and asked for a room with a little more room to move around in and were given a very lovely, quiet room that gave us enough room to move around in. The entire staff was vey accomodating and friendly. We come to London every couple of years and prefer the Bayswater area. For our next trip we definitely plan to stay in the Grand Plaza Apts. We would also definitely recommend the hotel to others. We also found your service very helpful and efficient in finding the Grand Plaza. Thank you for adding to the pleasure of our trip.

We stayed at the Grand for 4 nights this past July, 2010. Our family of four occupied the Executive Quad on the third floor. We requested an above ground apt. (as recommended by other travellers before us)to avoid the noisy and slightly musty basment units. Down side is that it's a maze to get to your apt. and if you're hauling lots of luagguage, you'll need to make several trips and deal with three small (and I mean tiny) elevators, stairs and long corridors. Fortunately, I had 2 teenage boys and a husband who did all the hauling.
Apt. was comfortable enough and decently clean. No aircon, only fans. Our kitchen had a 2 burner stove, a microwave oven and a small frig so we were able to prepare a cooked breakfast every morning. Bring good instant coffee as there is no perculator.
There are laundry facilities in the basement that are free to use. You just have to buy soap form the front desk. However, laundry machines and dryers seem to be in constant use. When I tried to do a washing betw. 5PM and 12midnight (and I went down every night during our stay), all machines were taken. Also, the dryers take a very, very long time to dry clothes -still damp after 40 mins. I finally did a load of laundry at 12:15 AM.
Best thing about the Grand Plaza is its location. Bayswater is so convenient and everything you need is within a 2-3 block walking distance. We loved the restaurants, shops and supermarkets in the area. Tube is also 5 mins walk from Grand.
My opinion - its a great place to stay if you can think of it as "camping" but with a little more amenities. Somewhere between Holiday Inn and a European youth hostel.
BYW, other reviewers were correct. Front desk receiptionists are barely helpful. Once you're checked in, they basically check out. Not unfriendly per se. Just a little overworked perhaps.

Felt the apartment was not as luxurious as depicted on the website. Certainly was not big enough to cater for 6 adults as advertised! 3 was OK but the fold out sofa bed was uncomfortable. Very expensive for the quality but great location.

The apartment was not furnished with enough pots and pans for a real meal to be made. We were there the night of the false
fire alarms and no one in reception answered when we called down. Because we were on the 5th floor, it was more than a little scary for us and our 2 grandsons when we had to walk down the stairs at 5:00am. No one ever made any effort to find out by even asking us if were were okay. Sorry to be so hard on this, but that is the way it is

Would Recommend?:
The staff were very friendly, the rooms were on the small side but very contemporary and very clean, everything was in great condition. I would stay here again. Fantastic location, three mins from the tube, not far from central london, plus a couple of minutes walk to a good high street and kensington park gardens.
